John Anthony West, stepfather to Geraint Hughes, Egyptologyst, and team leader on our September 1999 visit to Egypt. JAW along with Dr Robert Schoch, have rocked the dogmatic and unscientific world of egyptology, with hard evidence that the great Sphinx on the Giza plateau, was water weathered. Water weathering means that the Sphinx is propbably between 5 to 10 thousand years older than current estimates. The current estimated age of the Sphinx is 5500 years old, climatologists agree that from that period up to the present day, there was little rain in the Nile Valley.
